Plateau Diesel strives to use the best parts available to us to repair and maintain your vehicles and to provide the best service for you, but parts do fail, and it is our responsibility to make sure that you, as the customer are taken care of within the manufacturer’s guidelines. We stand behind all of our work with the limited warranty provided below.
Plateau Diesel Limited 12 Month / 12,000 mile Warranty
This warranty document states what is covered and what is not covered by Plateau Diesel Performance Inc. (PDP) under our 12 Month or 12,000-mile limited warranty provided to the original purchasing customer of goods and services from Plateau Diesel.
Plateau Diesel Performance Inc. will warranty workmanship issues with services provided by PDP for 12months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Parts provided and installed by Plateau Diesel have their own warranty terms and coverage time limits as provided by the parts manufacturer which vary depending on the manufacturer.
Most major parts such as engines, transmissions, turbochargers, fuel system components etc. sold by Plateau Diesel have manufacturer provided parts only or parts and labor warranties to which the end user is entitled as the original retail purchaser. Terms vary as to time, whether labor is covered and at what labor rate. Plateau Diesel Performance Inc. will assist customers to receive warranty benefits for products sold by PDP within the manufacturer warranty time and mileage limitations. The customer is responsible for labor charges related to warranty repairs beyond the 12 months / 12,000 mile PDP warranty but will be reimbursed to the extent that the product manufacturer provides labor payment to PDP when this occurs. The customer is responsible for shipping charges related to warranty repairs.
Listed below are the manufacturers and their published warranty terms for a number of the parts installed at Plateau Diesel Performance. (Warranty terms listed below are those of the manufacturer and are governed by the manufacturers own published warranty statements which are subject to change and beyond the control of PDP)
Customer provided parts have no Plateau Diesel provided warranty. The customer is responsible for obtaining any warranty benefit from the manufacturer for customer provided parts. The customer is responsible for all costs associated with installation and removal if the customer supplied part fails, and any costs associated with failure of said parts.
Part failures caused by customer abuse, misuse, or failure to maintain the vehicle properly will not be covered under this warranty.
Tuning is not warrantable. If customer or PDP installed tuning does damage or catastrophic damage to an engine or other component it is the responsibility of the customer and not Plateau Diesel Performance.
Installation of an aftermarket product may void an original manufacturer’s warranty. PDP is not responsible for costs related to a vehicle manufacturer's warranty being denied.
In the rare case of a major failure, Plateau Diesel will proceed as quickly as reasonably possible to send failed major components, engines, transmissions etc. back to the factory for warranty or non-warranty repair, but Plateau Diesel Performance Inc. will not be held accountable for how long the factory repair takes to complete and for the product to arrive back to the shop. Reassembly back to running condition will occur as soon as schedule permits after the warranty repaired component returns to PDP. Costs related to loss of vehicle service due to product failures and manufacturer delays along with shipping costs are not the responsibility of Plateau Diesel.
Labor required to correct parts and/or workmanship issues under the terms of the Plateau Diesel Limited Warranty must be provided by Plateau Diesel staff at the PDP shop unless another service provider is agreed to by Plateau Diesel prior to the work being performed.
Plateau Diesel Performance Inc. has the right to refuse service to anyone and may exercise that right within our policy guidelines.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Other than as expressly set forth herein, Plateau Diesel shall in no way be responsible for the proper use and maintenance of products provided to the purchaser. In no event shall Plateau Diesel be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages of any kind or nature. The buyer hereby waives any and all such claims.
The purchaser of Plateau Diesel supplied products and services acknowledges that he/she/it is not relying on Plateau Diesel to select or furnish goods and/or services suitable for any particular purpose. Plateau has no liability that will extend beyond the limited warranty contained herein. The purchaser hereby waives all remedies or liabilities, expressed or implied, arising by operation of law or otherwise, (including without limitation, any obligations of Plateau Diesel with respect to fitness for any particular purpose; merchantability; and special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages) whether or not occasioned by Plateau Diesel negligence.
Plateau Diesel disclaims any warranty and expressly disclaims any liability for personal injury or damages related to the purchaser’s use of Plateau Diesel supplied products and/or services. The purchaser acknowledges and agrees that the disclaimer of any liability for personal injury is a material term of this agreement, and the purchaser agrees to indemnify Plateau Diesel and hold Plateau Diesel harmless from any personal injury claim related to Plateau Diesel supplied products and services.

- Bosch – 2-year parts and labor
- Alliant – 2-year parts and labor
- Napa - 1 Year parts only
- Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge/Ram - 1 Year parts only
- Warren Diesel – 1-year unlimited parts and labor / 4 Years on parts.
- FirePunk – 47RE/48RE 2-year Unlimited mileage on certain transmissions, FirePunk will reimburse for labor if they are found at fault but must be inspected by FirePunk at their facility. Please see the FirePunk warranty document.
- FirePunk – 68RFE is a 2-year covering only workmanship. Warranty terms provided on request and with purchase.
- BD Engine and Transmission – Most items are 12 months / 24,000 mile for parts and labor and 24 months for parts. BD Transmission warranty 12 months/24,000 miles parts and labor and 36 months/150,00 miles on parts. The complete list is provided with the products and can be provided at the request of the customer.
- Jasper Diesel Engines – 24 month / Unlimited Mileage parts and Labor; Jasper Transmissions 36 months / 100,000 miles on parts and labor for trucks up to one ton.
- All other manufacturers’ warranty terms are based on their warranty documents and limited by their disclaimer statements which can be provided when requested by the customer.
